There are 6 billion people in the world and not one of them are the same. Who is anyone therefore, to tell anyone else what they should and shouldn't enjoy. Hmm, as I sit here typing this I've already come up with several instances where I don't see a problem with somebody stepping in and saying something but I'll address those a little later.
What prompted this particular entry, you ask? Well by nature I am a very tolerant person but every now and then I see somebody wearing something or listening to something and I think to myself (or say to the person next to me), "what the heck are they thinking?!" and then I snap out of it and remember that I thoroughly enjoy listening to early Savage Garden and dawning the occasional sweater vest.
So to you sir, yes you, the man practically skipping down the street with a giddy child-like smile on his face wearing the hot pink converse, black bell bottoms, studded belt, pokemon shirt and bowler hat, cary onward with your positive attitude and know that there is at least one person who is not judging you.
To be honest, what I'd really like to do is stop this man and have a conversation with him about what is making him so happy, where he is off to with such jovial haste and what made him feel that this particular ensemble was the right one for today. Can you imagine if we didn't have that built in level of assumed social awkwardness wherein we feel it odd to talk to strangers even if it's for the positive? There'd be so much more conversation on the streets! Interesting.
Thinking your way is the only way - humans are weird.
